Azerbaijan Airlines has taken delivery of the first of four Airbus A319s that it ordered last year. The order includes a single Airbus Corporate Jetliner. All the aircraft, powered by CFM International CFM56 engines, are scheduled to be delivered by the third quarter of next year. The Azerbaijani flag-carrier already operates an Airbus A320 under a lease agreement after taking delivery of the jet last year. It operates a diverse mix of types including Boeing 727s and 757s alongside Tupolev Tu-134s and Tu-154s and Yakovlev Yak-40s.
