Brazilian regional carrier Azul has sold a new ATR 72-600 delivery to DAE Capital under a sale and leaseback deal, confirms the Middle Eastern operating lessor.

The aircraft, MSN 1166, was delivered on 6 August.

Azul operates 35 ATR 72-600s and has a backlog for another 18 units, Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets shows. The Brazilian carrier also operates 14 ATR 72-500s and eight ATR 42-500s, five Embraer 175s, 22 E-190s, 55 E-195s and a single Airbus A330-200.
