In a flurry of end of the year changes to its order book, Boeing has received orders for almost four dozen aircraft, including 11 787s from an unidentified customer.
Boeing's gross orders rose by 46, bringing the 2009 total to 259 aircraft.
The 46 orders were made up of 24 737s, 11 787s, five 767s and five 777s.
The latter were announced by All Nippon Airways on 21 December. One of the 737s on order has been claimed by the US Air Force.
The updated orderbook also included cancellations for three 737s and three 777s, bringing the total number of cancellations to 118.
As a result, Boeing's 2009 net orders stand at 141.
The additional 787 orders come just over a week after Boeing flew the 787 for the first time on 15 December, raising the order backlog to 851 aircraft.
