Boeing has filled a key hole on its leadership team for commercial programmes, appointing Elizabeth Lund to take over the 777 programme.

As the new vice-president and general manager for the 777 programme, Lund fills the vacancy created when Scott Fancher assumed control of all Airplane Programmes in November. The role includes managing existing 777 types, while the recently-appointed Bob Feldmann manages the development of the 777X programme.

Lund, the former vice-president and general manager for 747 programmes, will continue to fill her role as the site leader for Boeing's widebody factory in Everett, Washington.

Boeing also appointed Eric Lindblad to replace Lund on the 747 programme. Lindblad previously worked as director of 747 manufacturing.
