Bombardier expects to deliver 80 commercial aircraft and around 200 business jets during 2014, some 17% more than last year.

It is also forecasting a small hike to its aerospace earnings margin to 5%.

Bombardier’s aerospace earnings rose by 7% to $418 million last year, while the airframer kept its margin stable at 4.5%.

In the 12 months to 31 December 2013 the manufacturer’s aerospace revenues rose by more than 9% to $9.4 billion.

Bombardier delivered 238 aircraft last year and took net orders for 388, including 81 commercial airframes.

Its fourth-quarter revenues increased by 11.5% to $2.9 billion while earnings rose by 10.7% to $93 million.
