Bombardier has forged a new business relationship with Chinese lessor CDB Leasing Company (CLC).

The two firms have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that clears the way for CLC to offer pre-delivery payment financing, delivery financing and leasing solutions to customers of Bombardier CSeries, Q400 and CRJ aircraft.

The breadth of capital available from CLC for domestic and international transactions of Bombardier aircraft is up to $3.85 billion, says Bombardier, adding that the MOU will help the airframer meet its long-term objective of growing business in China and the Asia-Pacific region.

"The financial resources of CLC put Bombardier in a stronger competitive position to recommend financing and leasing solutions for potential customers in China and elsewhere," says Bombardier Commercial Aircraft president Gary Scott.
