STARLINK PHENOMS

Embraer has selected business aviation services provider Starlink Aviation as its first authorised service centre in Canada for the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 business jets.

LIGHTING CONTRACT

German maintenance and repair organisation 328 Support Services has ordered five wireless emergency primary power system kits from developer STG Aerospace.

The WEPPS kit is a new-generation power system for emergency lighting with a built-in wireless monitoring system with a battery that needs no charging or maintenance. A similar deal has already been struck between STG and Fokker Services to develop WEPPS for Fokker 50, 70 and 100 models.

BRAND EXPOSURE

JetBird has launched a brand and positioning campaign ahead of its operational launch in September. The Ireland-based pan-European air taxi start-up has appointed StrategicFusion to help create a "visual identity" and extol the benefits of JetBird'S Phenom 100 very light jet-based operation.

INTERNET RETROFIT

US business aircraft charter and management Clay Lacy Aviation is to install Aircell's high-speed internet service throughout its fleet. The deal marks the world's first fleet selection of the Aircell system by a US Federal Aviation Regulation Part 135 charter operator. System installations began this month and the retrofit schedule is earmarked for completion by mid-2010.

INTERIOR APPROVAL

US completions specialist PATS Aircraft Systems has received supplemental type certification for the VIP-configured Bombardier CRJ200 Hemisphere 200XR interior. The programme is jointly developed by Tailwind Capital and investment partner, Global Principal Finance. The first Hemisphere was handed over this month to Dutch company Solidair.

EUROJET FBO

Eurojet has added a second fixed-based operation to its Northern Ireland-based portfolio following the inauguration of the first FBO at Belfast City Airport. The downtown FBO complements its facility at Belfast International airport.
