Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has filed an application with the country's Civil Aeronautics Board to allocate traffic rights for Oman.

In its application, the airline seeks to be designated as an official carrier and receive six frequencies.

It is requesting that two of the frequencies be allocated between Manila and Oman, and the remaining four frequencies be allocated from Manila's secondary airport Clark to "points in Oman", without identifying specific destinations.

Cebu Pacific did not specify the seat capacity it desires in its application, but the company has plans to launch a long haul low cost carrier operating Airbus A330 aircraft in 2013.
