Irish regional carrier CityJet will open a route from London City airport to Cork.

Starting in October, Ireland’s second city will be served thrice-daily during weekdays, twice on Sundays, and once on Saturdays, the Dublin-based airline says.

CityJet has a fleet of BAE Systems RJ85 Avro regional jets.

Ryanair serves Cork from the London airports of Gatwick and Stansted, while Aer Lingus connect the Irish city with London Heathrow, Flightglobal’s Innovata schedules show.
