Emergency services are attending a Contact Air Fokker 100 which has landed at Stuttgart with its undercarriage partly retracted.

Contact Air has identified the twin-jet as being registered D-AFKE. The aircraft had been newly delivered to Contact Air in the last few weeks.

"Despite repeated attempts by the cockpit crew, the main landing-gear could not be extended," says the German carrier.

It says the aircraft had been operating flight LH288 between Berlin Tegel and Stuttgart.

Flightglobal's ACAS database says the aircraft is a 14-year old example, last listed as being owned by Mass Holdings.

"According to initial reports are landing no passengers were injured," says the carrier, adding that the jet had been transporting 73 passengers and five crew members.
