Both flight recorders from the crashed UTAir ATR 72-200 at Tyumen have been located and transferred to Russia's investigating authority.

The Interstate Aviation Committee says that it has retrieved the cockpit-voice and flight-data recorders from the twin-engined turboprop which crashed shortly after take-off for Surgut.

Meteorological data indicates good visibility but blowing snow in the vicinity at the time of the accident.

Neither of the pilots is listed among the dozen survivors named by the carrier. There were 39 passengers and four crew on board.

ATR states that the carrier had been operating the aircraft, serial number 332, since August 2008.
