An Italian company has become the first European corporate owner of the Daher TBM 930, following the handover in late June of the high-speed, single-engined turboprop – registration F-HSAL.

The French airframer declines to name the recipient of the seven-seat type, but Flightglobal identifies the owner as Salvagnini.

The company – which builds machines for processing sheet metal – is a long-time customer of the TBM family, having purchased its first model, a TBM 700, 17 years ago. This unit was replaced in 2003 by a 700B variant, and in 2006 by a TBM 850, “which was sold to a Benelux-based owner ahead of the TBM 930 sale”, says Daher.

The aircraft are used to transport employees between the company’s factories in Italy, France and Austria, as well as for customer visits, Daher adds.

The airframer has a global inventory of more than 780 TBMs, Flightglobal’s Fleets Analyzer database reveals, of which 130 are based in Europe.

Launched in April, the TBM 930 features a Garmin G3000 touchscreen glass flightdeck, Daher’s new bespoke e-copilot safety system, and a revamped interior. The $4.1 million aircraft sits alongside the baseline Garmin G1000-equipped TBM 900 in Daher’s line-up. The Tarbes, southwest France-based airframer currently has a total order backlog of 25 aircraft.
