Delta Air Lines has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) to place Brazilian carrier Gol's code on flights operated by its regional partners.

In filings with the DOT, Delta seeks permission to expand codesharing between Delta and Gol to include Delta Connection flights operated by ExpressJet Airlines and Endeavor Air. Delta is seeking the authorisation for flights operated by the regional carriers within the USA and between the USA and third countries.

The Endeavor-operated flights that Delta is seeking to place Gol's code are the routes from Atlanta to Washington Dulles; Montreal, and Toronto, from Boston to Detroit and to New York John F. Kennedy, from Cincinnati to Detroit, from Detroit to Newark; Washington Dulles; Minneapolis-St Paul; Chicago O'Hare; Philadelphia; St Louis; Ottawa; Montreal; and Toronto, from New York JFK to Chicago O'Hare; Philadelphia, Montreal and Toronto.

The ExpressJet-operated flights that Delta plans to place Gol's code on are from Atlanta to Charlotte; Cincinnati; Washington National; Dallas-Fort Worth; Newark; Washington Dulles; Houston Intercontinental; Minneapolis-St Paul; Raleigh Durham; St Louis; Montreal and Toronto, from Boston to Detroit, from Cincinnati to Detroit; from Detroit to Newark; New York LaGuardia; Chicago O'Hare; Philadelphia; St Louis; Montreal and Toronto.
