Denmark will be the third international partner to join the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter programme with the scheduled signing this week of an agreement to become a Level 3 participant. Denmark will share the $150 million cost of joining the system development and demonstration (SDD) phase with Norway, which is expected to join later. Meanwhile, the Italian senate has approved the government decision to join JSF SDD phase as a Level 2 participant. Lockheed Martin has also sent an industrial team to Australia, which has expressed an interest in taking part.
