Hakwer Pacific has announced that Diamond Aircraft's DA42-NG will be making its first visit to Australia.

The four-seater DA42-NG is equipped with twin-jet, A1-powered AE300 turbo diesel engines produced by Austro Engine and can be operated as a single-engine aircraft, said Hawker Pacific. The aircraft is able to fly approaches and procedures in conditions similar to light jets and turboprops.

"The DA42-NG is available with larger fuel tanks that have a range of 2,000km with a 60% power setting at 14,000 feet, with a fuel burn of only 38.9ltrs per hour total," said Tony Jones, Hawker Pacific's senior vice-president for aircraft sales and flight services group.

Hawker Pacific, which is Diamond Aircraft's appointed distributor for Australia and New Zealand, plans to conduct a countrywide demonstration tour showcasing the Diamond DA 4NG and DA 40CS aircraft early next year, added Hawker Pacific.
