Start-up carrier Libyan Wings is to take three Airbus A350-900s and four A320neos for its operations.

The agreement, a memorandum of understanding, has been disclosed during the Dubai air show.

No engine selection has been given for the A320neos.

Libyan Wings is based in Tripoli. Chairman Wisam Al Masri says the Airbus aircraft will "play a significant role" in the development of the carrier.

It will start services at the beginning of 2014 with two dry leased A320 aircraft and build to a fleet of 10.
