The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has appointed Brandon Mitchener as its chief executive.

The former journalist and public relations specialist replaces Fabio Gamba, who left the industry association on 16 March after nearly six years at the helm.

Mitchener’s career in journalism and PR spans more than 25 years – with the last 20 spent in Brussels.

Most recently he oversaw the corporate communications effort in Europe and the Middle East for US agrochemical company Monsanto.

Mitchener has also worked as a correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, The International Herald Tribune and Dow Jones newswires in New York, Germany and Brussels.

He will step into his new role with the EBAA on 3 April.
