European Business Aviation Association chief executive Brian Humphries warns that if business aviation does not develop its own fatigue risk management system in 2012 it will have to adopt European Union-wide airline flight time limitations.

The association is surveying the working patterns of EU-based corporate and business aviation flightcrews and says at least 1,000 responses from pilots are needed.

In June 2012 a new system of flight time limitations will be applied to all air transport operations. Humphries says it would be disastrous if business aviation were bound by regulations designed for airlines.
