Sources have confirmed that Eclipse Aviation employees were called in to an all-hands meeting this morning at the company’s Albuquerque, New Mexico manufacturing plant and told the company would not be able to pay them for the past two weeks of work.

While Eclipse could not be immediately reached for comment, local media outlets are reporting that employees were given a toll-free telephone number to call as to whether they’d be paid later. KDBC 4 News reported that “many” of the employees emptied their desks and left.

The company had been attempting to secure additional financing in the midst of a drastic reduction in production and retooling of its processes. Given the dire financial climate however, analysts had predicted the company would go bankrupt in the very near term.
