Israeli flag carrier El Al has named David Maimon as its new chief executive, following the resignation of Elyezer Shkedy.
The airline says Maimon is currently the company’s vice-president of commercial affairs.
He had held several positions in the airline since 2005, it adds, and will take over the head role on 20 March.
Maimon will succeed Shkedy just before the Israeli airline starts operations with its new budget spin-off Up.
