Embraer has delivered its 100th aircraft to China, an Embraer E190, operated by China Southern Airlines.
The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer delivered its first aircraft to the Chinese market in 2000. In the Greater China region, there are 97 commercial and three business aircraft operated by 10 customers, said Embraer.
"The milestone also indicates the robust development of China's regional aviation industry in the past few years," said Guan Dongyuan, president of Embraer China. "We are proud to be part of the efforts to promote regional aviation in China."

Embraer received 35 firm orders for commercial and business aircraft in China this year, bringing its Chinese order backlog to 150.
It also established a wholly owned subsidiary in 2010 to provide its customers with needed "all-round support" including technical consulting, spare parts sales and flight operations, added Embraer.
Tianjin Airlines, which operates 25 ERJ-145 and 39 E190 aircraft, is an authorised Embraer service centre for commercial jets, while Hong Kong-based Metrojet will provide line maintenance to Legacy 600/650 and Lineage 1000 aircraft.
