Embraer has opened the last of its three planned company-owned service centres in advance of first deliveries of its Phenom 100 very light jet by year's end. Located at Ft Lauderdale Hollywood International airport, the 5,156m² (55,500ft²) facility will also cater to the Phenom 300 light jet and Legacy 600 executive jet as well as the newly announced Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 models. Embraer expects to begin delivering Phenom 300s late next year.

The company recently inaugurated facilities at Bradley International airport in Connecticut and at Phoenix Mesa Gateway airport in Arizona. Each of the three centres will create about 60 jobs over the next five years, says Embraer.

All three facilities include hangar space, workshops and office space and offer full aircraft service, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, 24/7 technical assistance and parts, airframe, engine and avionics repairs as well as aircraft-on-ground emergency mobile rescue teams. Each facility will also hold an inventory of expendable and repairable parts, says Embraer.

In total, Embraer's authorised service centre network in the USA now includes 24 locations across 18 states.
