Emirates has confirmed it is taking Rolls-Royce Trent 900s for 50 Airbus A380s.
It values the agreement at $9.2 billion.
Delivery of the aircraft will begin in late 2016.
The deal is the largest non-defence contract awarded to a UK firm, claims Emirates president Tim Clark.
Emirates disclosed the deal at an event in London.
