Ethiopian Airlines is requesting US Export-Import Bank support to help finance its Boeing 777 aircraft deliveries, according to the export credit agency.

The carrier has orders for four 777-200LR freighters with one unit delivering this year and the remaining three aircraft due in 2014, Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows. The Star Alliance carrier also will receive one 777-200LR this year.

No further details were provided about the request.
