Bombardier Aerospace is promising that its CSeries regional jet family will deliver new standards in both economics and the environment.
“We are offering a true solution to these sustainability issues,” says president and chief operating officer . “It is equipped with the latest technologies that will revolutionise the economies in the 100-149-seat commercial market.”
Gary Scott, president of Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, adds: “The CSeries family offers the greenest single-aisle aircraft in its class. These game-changing aircraft emit up to 20% less CO2 and up to 50% less NOx; fly four times quieter and deliver dramatic energy savings – up to 20% fuel burn advantage as well as up to 15% improved cash operating costs versus current in-production aircraft of similar size.”
He says the aircraft will “set a new benchmark” for the industry, consuming as little as 2 litres of fuel per passenger per 100km flown in its more dense seating layouts.
The CSeries will offer five variants around its two main models: the 110 (110 passengers) and the 130 (130 passengers). The baseline models will fly 2,200nm (4,074km).Extended-range versions will fly 2,950nm (5,463km).

An advanced flight deck will feature fly-by-wire, side-stick controls and large LCD displays. The aircraft will feature increased use of composites and aluminium lithium in its structures.
