One of the highlights of the Farnborough air show arrived yesterday as the newest addition to Qatar Airways' fleet touched down after its flight from Seattle. Today, during its validation flight, Flightglobal recorded exclusive air-to-air footage of Qatar's new 787 Dreamliner performing its Farnborough air show aerial display, featuring IR video captured by a FLIR Systems' Star Safire 380HD.

The carrier's Boeing 787-8 will be taking part in daily flying displays and will also be on static at the show.

Registered as A7-BCB, the aircraft is a 2012-built airframe, line number 58, powered by General Electric GEnx-1B engines.

Qatar Airways is due to take delivery of a total of five of the type this year.
