Hainan Airlines has committed to 50 Boeing 737 Max 8s.
The order is subject to approval by the Chinese government. At list prices, the 50 narrowbodies are valued at $5.1 billion.
"The 737 is the backbone of our single-aisle fleet," says Hainan Group's president Adam Tan.
Hainan operates an all-Boeing narrowbody fleet.
