Lithuanian maintenance provider FL Technics has become a partner in Boeing's GoldCare support programme.

The Vilnius-based company will offer line and base maintenance, component support and engineering services for 787 and current-generation 737 aircraft under the scheme, which includes numerous original equipment manufacturers (OEM) such as General Electric, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell, Moog, Panasonic and Rockwell Collins.

"For me, it is logical to become part of the OEM system for the aftermarket," FL Technic chief executive Jonas Butautis said to Flightglobal in August in light of the increasing complexity of new-generation aircraft equipment and the manufacturers' growing interest in the maintenance, repair and overhaul business.
