Flight International hosted its Crew Management Conference last month in Brussels.

Items debated by the delegates included the possible European raising of the retirment age for pilots to 70 years; the need for flight dispatchers to have legal liability in Europe for flights after take-off; the trade-off between new airline business models and pilots fatigue; and whether pilots unions need to be recognised by low-cost carriers.
