Laker Airways, the latest venture of Sir Freddie Laker, is on course to launch early in 1996, offering 'high quality service' from London/Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando in Florida. He holds 49 per cent of the carrier with the remaining 51 per cent owned by US businessman Oscar Wyatt Jr . Three DC-10-30s are being leased from General Electric Capital Corporation.
