Republic Airways Holdings has named former Northwest Airlines executive Neal Cohen and former US Airways CEO David Siegel to its board of directors.

Cohen vacated the roles of EVP strategy and international and CEO of the carrier's wholly-owned regional carriers in June 2008. He previously served as CFO of the airline. Cohen has also held senior executive positions at US Airways.

Siegel was CEO of US Airways during one of its two formal reorganizations earlier this decade. He served as CEO of Gate Gourmet after leaving US Airways in April 2004. In October of 2008 he was named CEO of private jet operator XOJET.

Republic is primarily a feeder company to US mainline carriers. But this year has purchased independent operators Frontier Airlines and Midwest Airlines.
