Garuda Indonesia has invited bids for a tender to lease an unspecified number of Boeing 737-800s.

Indonesia's national carrier says that it is keen on aircraft manufactured in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and they should have the CFM International CFM56-7B26/3 or CMF56-7B26E powerplants.

It targets deliveries in the same year of manufacture, and aims to have the aircraft on a dry lease for 10 to 12 years.

The airline did not say if the 737s would be for its use, or for that of domestic low-cost subsidiary Citilink.
