GECAS has acquired a Boeing 747-8F leased to Russian carrier AirBridgeCargo Airlines from Boeing Capital Corporation.

The lessor identifies the aircraft as MSN 63378, which Flight Fleets Analyzer shows was built in 2016 and has been operated by the carrier since its delivery in September the same year.

AirBridgeCargo also leases two 747-400ERFs from GECAS. The carrier operates a fleet 18 747 freighters, comprising 11 -8Fs, five -400Fs and two -400Fs, all of which are powered by General Electric engines.

“We are pleased to continue our support of AirBridgeCargo Airlines with this acquisition,” says GECAS’s senior vice-president and manager cargo, adding that “the 747-8F provides approximately 20 tonnes of additional revenue freight versus the 747-400F, along with efficient GEnx-2B67 engines.”
