India's budget carrier Go Airlines has inked a 10-year component support contract with Lufthansa Technik (LHT).

The agreement is effective from this month and covers the Airbus A320 operator's present and future fleet.

According to Flightglobal's ACAS online database, GoAir operates 13 A320s and has seven more on order. It has 72 A320neo aircraft on order, which are to be delivered from 2016.

The contract covers "most of the spare parts required for regular maintenance" on the current-generation aircraft and will include the future model as well, says the German MRO provider.

The agreement includes access to LHT's online portal for technical and operational management of the equipment as well as aircraft-on-ground (AOG) emergency service.

Selected spare parts will be located at the airline's bases in Delhi and Mumbai, while repair and overhaul will be handled by LHT's facilities in Germany.
