Hainan Airlines plans to begin Dublin and Edinburgh flights on 12 June with Airbus A330s.

The carrier will operate Beijing-Edinburgh-Dublin and Beijing-Dublin-Edinburgh on a twice-weekly basis for each service.

Earlier this month, the airline had announced that it will begin thrice-weekly Changsha-London Heathrow services on 23 March.

FlightGlobal schedules data shows that the airline will be the only operator on the Beijing-Edinburgh and Beijing-Dublin routes. It will compete with Aer Lingus and Ryanair on the Edinburgh-Dublin sector.
