British Airways and Iberia parent company International Airlines Group is looking at acquiring the entire outstanding share capital of Spanish budget carrier Vueling.

IAG says it is "considering making an offer" for 100% of Vueling, of which it already owns just under 46% through a subsidiary, Iberia LAE Operadora.

It states that no decision on making an offer has yet been reached, nor does it give any details on a potential acquisition price.

IAG's board will consider the matter further at a meeting on 8 November, it adds.
