South Korea's Incheon Airport is forming a joint venture with China's HNA Airport Group to provide consultancy and operational services to airports in the mainland.

The joint venture, which will start in March, will allow Incheon Airport to provide consulting services on international route development and non-aerial revenue improvement for Haikou, Sanya and Lanzhou airports for the next six years.

It will also launch other initiatives to improve the airport services, operate them at a concession, and provide consulting on airport city design.

The initiatives will also include offering education and training programmes, operate airport terminals upon the request of the customer, provide dispatch managers and run concession businesses in the airports.

Incheon Airport says it also plans to expand its business coverage further in the airport operation sector of China. It aims to grow its Chinese business volume to account for 25% of its aggregate revenue in three years and 50% in six years, adds Incheon.
