Jazz Aviation has forged a deal with aircraft maintenance automated solutions provider Technologies Harness Scanner (THS) and Bombardier for maintenance of the carrier's aircraft.

Under the collaboration agreement THS will develop and implement turnkey solutions for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical sub-systems in Jazz's Bombardier CRJ100, CRJ700, CRJ900 and CRJ200 regional jets, the Dash 8 series and the Q400 turboprop aircraft.

THS is supplying Jazz with portable automated test equipment for line or heavy maintenance bases; updated maintenance processes to meet Jazz and Bombardier maintenance practices; specific tool packages for each sub-system; and training for Jazz avionic and mechanic technicians.

Jazz purchased the systems and will provide its maintenance expertise, as well as aircraft and manpower to deploy this new technology into its line and heavy maintenance, said the partners.

The companies added that Bombardier will provide financial and technical support to the project.
