Business aviation services provider Jet Aviation has formed a strategic partnership with Elite Jets of Dubai to provide aircraft management and charter services in the Middle East. The alliance expands Jet Aviation portfolio of regional services and is designed to bolster each company's share of the region's booming business aviation market.

Switzerland-headquartered Jet Aviation has bases in Dubai as well as Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia which offer aircraft maintenance and fixed-base operator services including handling. Elite Jets meanwhile operates an expanding fleet of managed aircraft including a Cessna Citation CJ3 light jet and a Hawker 850XP mid-size business jet. A large-cabin Bombardier Challenger 605 is scheduled for delivery in September.

Jet Aviation says the scope of the agreement ranges from providing regional charter services to Jet Aviation customers in the Middle East through Elite Jets, while Jet Aviation provides line and unscheduled maintenance services to their fleet of business aircraft. Jet Aviation will provide operational assistance to Elite Jets and will also conduct recurrent training of all staff and crew members.

"Elite Jets will also benefit from Jet Aviation's extensive buying power for insurance premiums and fuel discounts and the company's global network of FBO and maintenance facilities," says the Zurich-based company.

"Jet Aviation and Elite Jets strategically complement one another and together we will become a major provider of full management services of aircraft based or operated in Dubai, " says Jet Aviation's chief operating officer for Europe, Middle East and Asia André Wall.
