Operating lessor Jackson Square Aviation has closed a second Airbus A320 purchase and leaseback transaction with Jetstar Japan, Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows.

The lessor signed a sale and leaseback agreement for a total of three A320s with the Jetstar Group.

The aircraft (MSN 5649), which delivered at the end of June, follows the delivery of another A320 in May.

Jetstar Japan announced a series of leasing sale and leaseback arrangements in July 2012 with five lessors for the 24 A320 aircraft it will receive through 2015.

The lessors include the airline's shareholders Mitsubishi Corp, through its subsidiary MC Aviation Partners, which will lease five aircraft and Century Tokyo Leasing, which will lease six aircraft. GECAS, Hong Kong Aviation Capital and Jackson Square Aviation signed agreements for six, four and three aircraft respectively.

The Japanese budget carrier now operates a 15 A320 aircraft fleet.
