Airbus has disclosed a purchase agreement covering eight Airbus A330-800s for Kuwait Airways.

The Middle Eastern airline's chairman Yousef Al-Jassim states that the aircraft will "seamlessly fit into our fleet expansion and growth plans".

He adds: "Our relationship with Airbus extends beyond aircraft acquisitions, and we look forward to further collaboration on technical fields."

Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that Kuwait Airways already has 15 A320neos and 10 A350-900s on order.

"Delivery of the new Airbus fleet will start in 2019," says the European manufacturer.

Kuwait Airways' in-service fleet comprises 10 A320s, five A330-200s and 10 Boeing 777-300ERs.
