Lufthansa Technik Maintenance International (LTMI) and Wizz Air have extended the scope of their co-operation to Romania and the Czech Republic.

Under the new five-year contract, LTMI will provide the airline with line maintenance services including A-checks for eight Airbus A320s based in Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj.

The agreement will also include two A320s based in Prague by February, says the MRO firm.

In line with the new agreement, LTMI will appoint a fleet manager as the focal contact for Wizz Air for technical, commercial and regulatory matters, it adds.

In 2009, Lufthansa Technik signed a contract to provide total component support for carrier`s entire fleet. It also provides the airline with base maintenance and engine services.
