Lion Air will launch daily Surabaya-Palembang, Palembang-Medan, and Yogyakarta-Pekanbaru services on 10 May.
The low-cost carrier will deploy on Boeing 737s on the three routes.
FlightGlobal schedules data shows the airline will compete with Citilink on the Surabaya-Palembang and Yogyakarta-Pekanbaru routes. It will also compete with Garuda Indonesia and Indonesia AirAsia on the Palembang-Medan route.
