LOT Polish Airlines is looking for a new chief executive following the dismissal of Marek Grabarek, president of its advisory board, along with board members Piotr Dubno and Wladyslaw Metelski. Supervisory board president Peiotr Czyzewski and member Slawomir Lachowski resigned at the same time. LOT has given no reason for the move.

Grabarek, who was appointed chief executive in 2003 following the resignation of Jan Litwinski amid charges of financial impropriety, is being replaced temporarily by supervisory board member Tomasz Kopoczynski. Grabarek guided LOT to full membership of the Star Alliance and oversaw the launch of low-fare subsidiary Centralwings in 2004.
