European Commission regulators have approved the creation of a cabin systems venture between Lufthansa Technik and US-based Panasonic Avionics.
The venture, branded Idair, will engage in design, manufacture and supply of specialised aircraft cabin equipment.
In a statement the Commission says it "has granted clearance" to the tie-up, which was examined under its simplified merger review procedure.
