Lufthansa Technik has closed its facility in Basel, Switzerland after the site was substantially downsized last year.
Some 31 jobs out of 60 current employees will be lost when the site shuts down on 30 April.
The German MRO provider says that the remaining 29 staff members "will have the opportunity" to work for Lufthansa Group carrier Swiss International Air Lines in Basel.
The hangar had previously specialised in base maintenance for BAE Systems 146/Avro regional jets. But LHT revealed in May that it was shedding 220 jobs out of a 304-strong workforce due to declining demand for MRO work on the legacy aircraft.
Since the restructuring, LHT Switzerland focused on line maintenance and logistics services.
Rainer Lindau, the facility's chief executive, says that closing the site is now "unavoidable" due to the "fall in demand and the associated decline in our customer base".
