Comlux VIP passengers and crew will have round-the-clock access to specialised medical care - both in flight and on the ground - thanks to an agreement between the Swiss business aviation services provider and international SOS company MedAire.
Effective 1 January 2011, Comlux will offer a standard, fleet-wide MedAire medical offering, including 24/7 access to emergency care doctors, on-board medical kits and aviation medical training for 125 pilots and flight attendants.
"As a premium brand in the charter market, Comlux is further defining its safety standards for customers and crew," says Grant Jeffery, MedAire chief executive. "Their investment in medical care on board all Comlux aircraft aligns with global standards provided by MedAire on leading commercial airlines around the globe."
Daniel Staub, Comlux's head of in-flight product and services, says: "MedAire's initial and recurrent courses will ensure we're delivering the highest standard of medical care, giving our crew the confidence, knowledge and resources to prepare for and manage unexpected medical situations."

Meanwhile, passengers and crew flying on newly delivered Hawker Beechcraft aircraft now have access to the same level of in-flight medical care as people travelling on major airlines, thanks to a standard entitlement package that includes a one-year subscription to MedAire's MedLink Global Response Center, on-board aviation medical kit and automated external defibrillator, as well as entry into MedAire's initial or recurrent Management of In-flight Illness & Injury course.
Hawker Beechcraft is the first airframe manufacturer to provide a complete suite of medical services on piston-engine and turboprop aircraft, as well as all of its new jet products.
