Hong Kong's Metrojet has been approved to work on European Aviation Safety Agency-registered aircraft at its Hong Kong facility.
"The approval will allow Metrojet to work on EASA-registered aircraft at its facility in Hong Kong," says Metrojet chief executive Björn Näf. Metrojet also recently received registration under the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations, which is modelled on the ISO 9000 family of standards.
"In achieving this registration, Metrojet has implemented a portfolio of the international standards and industry best practices to manage the safety, security, efficiency and effectiveness of our operations," says Donald Spruston, director general of the International Business Aviation Council.
The standard requires development of a safety management system to assess and mitigate risks faced in flight operations, says Metrojet.
