Rescuers have located the crash site of a Sol Lineas Aereas Saab 340 turboprop, which was earlier reported missing with 22 people on board in Argentina.

None of those on board survived the crash, said the airline.

The aircraft crashed 25km southwest of Los Menucos, a village in the Rio Negro province. Rescuers are trying to reach the crash site, said the airline, adding that it is not known yet what caused the crash.

The Saab 340 was operating from Neuquen to Comodoro Rivadavia when it declared an emergency at 20:50 before all communication from the aircraft was lost. It had departed Neuquen at 20:08 and was operating on the last leg of a multi-stop flight that had originated in Cordoba.
