Germany's MTU Maintenance Hannover has extended its capabilities to include the General Electric GE90s used on the Boeing 777-200LR and -300ER.

The expansion adds the GE90-110B and -115B engines to the company's portfolio, and the firm has expanded its test zone to accommodate the powerplant.

MTU Aero Engines commercial maintenance chief Stefan Weingartner says the GE90 will build on the company's widebody engine base which includes GE's CF6.
